Welcome to the library!
Our classes come in once a week and are able to check out books from our wide variety of books from Fly guy to Harry Potter and everywhere in between. After the students choose their new books, I read them a short story before sending them on their way for the day. We have an adorable library fish named Stitch that the whole school helped name.
The library is also a fun place for the kids to do puzzles and play games before school and during recess when there’s not a class visiting. How could I forget our awesome book vending machines! The students are able to earn a book token for a free brand-new book to keep. We want our kids to be encouraged to SOAR and be rewarded for their amazing accomplishments and choices.
At Washington Elementary, the library is a cozy place to relax and feel at home!
