This program affords students the ability to learn both the Spanish and English languages in a proficient manner. Students who enter in Kindergarten become bilingual, biliterate and bicultural by the time they are promoted from 6th grade. In Kindergarten the students are instructed 90% in Spanish and 10% in English. Each year, they increase the amount of English instruction by 10%. By the time students are in the fourth grade, they are instructed 50% of their day in English and 50% of their day in Spanish.
